This was an absolutely wonderful place. First, I have been traveling around Southeast Asia for about three and a half months and was living in Laos for three of those months. This is the most authentic Laotian restaurant that I have tried here in Texas. They have authentic laab and papaya salad made with the famous fish sauce. They even make sticky rice fresh as well. The place had impeccable pork laab with sticky rice and it was made fresh. The fermented fish sauce was also delicious. This is a must eat in Amarillo. You literally need to try it. The vibes are amazing and the owners are so kindhearted and welcoming. They loved to hear my story of Laos and we really bonded over that.

Coming from NYC, I didn’t expect to find authentically delicious Thai/Laotian food in this area but Little Laos is the real deal. I drive here two hours every other weekend just to get my Asian food fix (there are NO good options in NM where I’m doing a hospital rotation). I’ve had their papaya salad (delish), laab with tripe (so good with the fresh mint), fried whole tilipia ( delicious sweet and sour sauce) but my absolute faves are the quail and pad see ew. Service is always so friendly and shout out to the boss who always has a smile for us. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and eat at Little Laos

I like the atmosphere of the restaurant, little loas. It is the old root 66. The experience driving down there feeling like a complete different side if the city, like when I visit the old fashion main drag that I see those only on the big city. The scenery outside was enjoyable, sitting in the restaurant looking outside the window was quite a satisfying experience for a slow weekend. The food was fine, the staff was nice. Recommend to visit if never been. It is different experience from most loas restaurants I've visited. Another great thing is that they have their own parking spaces, quite a few of them. A thumbs up for this restaurant.

t’s a cute little place. It’s definitely different from when it used to be Barney’s beanery. It is much lighter inside with lots of windows and has Route 66 decorations. They have an outside seating area that’s covered and they allow pets because someone was here with a cute little dog. Our server was very friendly and attentive. They don’t have Coke products. We ordered pad ke mao, Red curry and the summer rolls We had the mango sticky rice for dessert and it did not dissapoint. It was delicious. Everything was served fresh and hot. The pad ke mao might be spicy for some people. The red curry was delicious.

The side of fresh cucumber slices is a nice touch, adding a refreshing crunch to cut through the heat. Overall impression: Little Toas nails the fundamentals here. It’s not overly fancy, but it’s exactly what you want from this kind of dish comforting, flavorful, and satisfying. If you’re into Thai street food vibes, this is a solid go-to.
